Here is an idea for one of my Type final pieces.

My hand made type.

Here i used Helvetica type to create my hand type i then coloured it and edited on the mac. i am very pleased with how it has turned out.

Type Project

When looking at artists on the internet i came across this picture on FAIRspot.com i'd like to do something like this on my type poster.

Photography. (Depth of Feild)

 

These pictures are just quick snaps i've taken to show the depth of field.

The main focus in these pictures is the '&' sign while all the 'noise' in the background is blurry making the '&' sign the main focus of the photograph.

UCA

In the second year at college we have been asked to look at  what we want to go onto and progress to once we've finished this course. I haven't really thought about what i wanted to study or where i wanted to go. I have the choice of University, Higher education at the college i'm at or a gap year. I'm quite looking forward to maybe going on to university as i think it would be a good experience and id like to get good grades for my job's in the future. The university's i'm looking at the moment are the UCA's and UCAS as these are creative art university's.

 While looking into UCA's University's the one that has appalled to me the most in Farnham, which is based in Sussex.  Which is 2hours away from where i live at the moment. I was hoping to go to university which is closer. Such as Maidstone &+ Rochester but neither appeal to me as much as Farnham.

 Maidstone - 30/45 minutes car/bus               Rochester - 20/30 minutes train/car

 

Graphic's Unit One.

For unit one we had to draw and paint a vegetable of our choice.

I choose to draw a pepper and used water-colour as my media as this is what i work well with. I used a range of different colours to create the different shading.

Strawberry Swing

When watching music the other day i am often amused by how rubbish some of the video's are but when i came across this New Coldplay video i thought it was turely amazing!

The Strawberry Swings video is a stop motion animation, i learn't about this in my first year at college and love the effect of it and understand how long it takes. The video shows the lead singer lying on the floor but it seems as if he's flying and is very clever.

Once my Type was on the computer i changed the colour and played around with wording to see if the type would work together.

During the Type project i had to create my own type.

Then cleaned it up &+ coloured on the computer.

Farnham

Since looking at university's i could go to i found a UCA Uni in Farnham that applied to me the most. This Universty has more course's for under-graduates then Maidstone, Rochester & Canterbury. When looking through there course's they have an Advertising & Branding course which deal's with many well known brands e.g

• L'Oreal
• Viacom,
• Leo Burnett
• FutureBrand
• British Airways.

During the first year of college i had to create the front cover of a magazine and use photography, and these are my favorite photographs. I wanted the eye's to be the center of the photo and the first thing my audience would look at.

Obama - shepard Fairey

Frank Shepard Fairey who was born February 15, 1970, is an artist, graphical designer and illustrator who first became known for his "Andre the Giant" sticker campaign.
He is the known artist for the Obama obey poster, As part of my Retro Graphic design project i created my own style of his work using the same effect and colours.
